Hong Kong – On 1 and 2 December, works offered across the four auctions of 20th and 21st Century Art realised HK$2,007,615,000/ US$258,733,286, the highest ever auction total for the category at Christie’s Asia. The two evening auctions – Worlds In A Hand, a thematic sale, achieved a total of HK598,817,500/ US$77,163,922; the 20th / 21st Century Art Evening Sale, totalled HK$896,185,000/ US$115,482,847; the 21st Century Art Day Sale, a white-glove sale, fetched HK$314,056,250/ US$40,469,445; while the 20th Century Art Day Sale generated HK$198,556,250/ US$25,617,072.
