The depth of bidding reflected the international collectors who have visited Christie’s galleries during Frieze Week, with registered bidders coming from 44 countries across 4 continents.
The quality of collections offered by Christie’s continued with further works, including Robert Mangold’s 4 Squares within a Circle 2 (£212,500), from the Matthys-Colle Collection, as well as Selected Works from the UniCredit Group highlighted by Gerhard Richter’s 16. Okt. 90 (£359,250), Sam Francis’ Erotic Arabesque (£323,250), Ernst Wilhelm Nay’s Helle Girlande (Light Garland) (£299,250) and Heimo Zobernig’s Untitled (£118,750, Artist Record).
