CHRISTIE’S NEW YORK OUTSIDER ART SALE TOTALS $2,536,002

NEW YORK – Christie’s presented its dedicated sale of Outsider Art on Friday, 1 March 2024. The sale saw fantastic participation, totalling $2,536,002. It was sold 147% against its low estimate, 96% by value, and 91% by lot. The top lot of the auction was William Edmondson’s FOX which sold for $378,000. Additional notable lots included Thornton Dial’s STRUGGLING TIGER PROUD STEPPING, which realized $214,200, and two works by Winfred Rembert: WEIGH YOUR COTTON, which realized $182,700, and JEFF'S POOL HALL, which realized $163,800.
