Dubai - Christie’s Middle East is proud to be partnering with A2Z, an art advisory service for private clients in the Gulf States who wish to expand their jewellery collections. Together we present ‘Garden of Wonders: A Selling Exhibition of Exceptional Jewels’ taking place at Christie’s Dubai, DIFC from 30 January to 3 February. An opportunity for visitors to dive into an exotic and orientalist garden, filled with jewels that sparkle and shine, not only will ‘Garden of Wonders’ present gemstones created by the natural world, the design of a number of pieces have also been inspired by nature. The exhibition will feature a finely curated selection of pieces which comprise the finest precious gemstones including exceptional diamonds, sapphires, emeralds and rubies alongside a large selection of important natural saltwater pearl pieces, including pearls originating from the Gulf region. 

The exhibition is led by a stunning Diamond Bracelet by Harry Winston comprising 99 emerald-cut diamonds of 141.00 carats in total (illustrated page 1) with a central stone of 11.32 carats. Made in 1975, this comes from a private collection in the Middle East. Other pieces within the exhibition have been internationally sourced, including pieces by Cartier and Boucheron alongside work from talented young and emerging designers such as Nikos Koulis and Noor Fares, and names to follow in the international fine jewellery sector in 2023.

Other highlights include (illustrated below), left to right, Ruby and Diamond Spinal Butterfly Earrings; a Butterfly Brooch comprising approx. 8.00 carats of rubies, vivid pink diamonds, grey diamonds, sapphires and titanium; a light pink Conch Pearl Ring comprising of 77.41 carats, blue grey jade, circular-cut diamonds and titanium; a pair of Natural Pearl Leaves Earrings with diamonds and titanium; a Coloured Diamond Flower Ring comprising brilliant cut diamonds together with brown, faint blue, intense purple/pink and fancy vivid orange/yellow diamonds and a pair of Emerald Earrings, resembling flowers, which are part of a magnificent suite of diamond and emerald jewels.    

 
Highlights: Diamonds and Pearls 

(Illustrated below from left to right), a stunning ring comprising a Light Yellow pear-shaped diamond of 20.03 carats set in yellow gold; another one with a Fancy Light Yellow emerald-cut diamond of 10.09 carats set in white gold, and a Fluid Diamonds Pave small ring by Fernando Jorge in 18k gold.
 

(Illustrated below left to right), a Diamond Necklace comprising marquise, radiant, round and pear cut heart shaped diamonds of 96.47 carats; a Victorian Emerald and Pearl three row necklace, comprising 177 natural saltwater pearls with octagonal emerald and rose-cut diamonds from a noble collection. 
 
(Illustrated below left to right), a pair of Diamond and Gold pendant earrings by Nikos Koulis comprising circular cut diamonds of 3.19 carats, tapered diamonds of 0.34 carats, trillion-cut diamonds 0.27 carats set in yellow gold; a pair of Art Deco Pearl and Diamond Earrings, button sharped natural pearls of 16.00 carats with circular and baguette cut diamonds; and a pair of Milky Aquamarine Nebula Earrings by Fernando Jorge in 18k yellow gold with 4.70 carats of diamonds.
