New York – Christie’s is pleased to announce two online sales First Open | Post-War & Contemporary Art and Contemporary Edition. Both sales will open for bidding July 7, 2023 with First Open closing on July 18 and Contemporary Edition on July 19, with an exhibition at Rockefeller Center from July 12 – 18. With estimates ranging from $600 to $150,000 these sales feature art for new and seasoned collectors alike.

First Open presents an exceptional selection of works by today’s most significant and in-demand post-war and contemporary artists, such as Jean-Michel Basquiat, Keith Haring, Andy Warhol, Ernie Barnes, Lynne Drexler and others. Collection highlights include important works from the Collection of Jon Gould; Enduring Threads: The Collection of Jacques and Emy Cohenca; and LA Cool: Property from the Laura Lee Stearns Collection.

Contemporary Edition features more than 150 Post-War and Contemporary Prints and Multiples from artists such as Wayne Thiebaud, David Hockney, and Tom Wesselmann; and contemporary works by Jean-Michel Basquiat, Keith Haring and Yoshitomo Nara.
