Hong Kong – On 30 November and 1 December, Christie’s will further cement its position as the world’s leading art platform with a historic and diverse offering of masterpieces from 20th and 21st Centuries. With total pre-sale estimates of HK$1.2B – 1.7B/ US$153M – 216M, seminal works by art icons including Sanyu, Joan Mitchell, Zao Wou-ki, Yoshitomo Nara, Adrien Ghenie, George Condo, Yayoi Kusama, and major artists of the moment such as Nicolas Party, Avery Singer, and many more, will be offered across five eagerly anticipated auctions: 20th/21st Century Art Evening Salefeaturing the historic sale of Shen the T. rex, Post-Millennium Evening Sale, Marc Chagall, Colour of Life: Works Formerly from the Artist's Estate (Part II)20th Century Art Day Sale, and 21st Century Art Day Sale.

30 November – Post-Millennium Evening Sale Highlights

This season, Christie’s Hong Kong will debut the first Post-Millennium Evening Sale in Asia. The thematic sale encapsulates a selection of paintings that reverberate the ever-evolving world of images compelled by technologies and ephemeral content of our times. Traversing from Nicolas Party to Avery Singer, from Stephen Wong to Javier Calleja, viewers will be prompted by the landscapes within and between reality and imagination, to reconsider the elemental aspects that shape our era.

1 December – Marc Changall, Colour of Life: 

Works Formerly From The Artist's Estate (Part 2) 

On 1 December, Christie’s will present Marc Chagall, Colour of Life: Works Formerly from the Artist’s Estate (Part 2)’, a dedicated auction presenting a superb selection of 20 works by modernist master Marc Chagall, one of the most eminent European artists of the 20th century. Originating from the artist’s estate, the works have never been offered for sale before. This is the second in a series of global sales dedicated to Chagall, the first of which took place in London in June and was 100% sold with strong participation from Asian buyers. 1 December – 20th Century Art Day Sale Highlights 

The sale brings together a selection of works by leading modern artists that traverse time and borders. Works by Western artists such as Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Bernard Buffet, Fernando Botero and Lynne Drexler will converse with those of Asian masters, from Zao Wou-Ki, Chu Teh-Chun, Sanyu, Leonard-Tsuguharu Foujita to Lalan. The sale also features paintings, works on paper and sculptures by prominent artists from South East Asia. Remarkable paintings on silk, canvas and lacquer by Vietnamese masters, including Mai Trung Thu, Le Pho, Vu Cao Dam, and Alix Aymé will be presented alongside an exciting lineup of works by Indonesian artists led by Hendra Gunawan, Affandi, Lee Man Fong, Sudjana Kerton. Highlights also include an exceptional group of paintings by Thai artists sold directly by the Museum of Contemporary Art Bangkok, and works by Singaporean and Filipino artists.

1 December – 21st Century Art Day Sale Highlights

The thoughtfully curated sale amasses exceptional artworks by the most sought-after artists of the moment, including Yayoi Kusama, Yoshitomo Nara, Liu Ye, Wang Xingwei, Louise Bonnet, Emily Mae Smith, Damien Hirst, as well as MR., Jia Aili, Zhang Enli, Chen Xinyi, Salmon Toor, Lucy Bull, and many more.
