Christie's 3.0 Presents Next Wave: The Miami Edit

NEW YORK – Christie’s is pleased to announce our second sale on Christie’s 3.0— Next Wave: The Miami Edit. The fully on-chain sale will showcase a highly curated group of more than 15 NFTs by celebrated artists including Andres Serrano, Ash Thorp, Ayla El-Moussa, Cath Simard, Dave Krugman, Random International x Danil Krivoruchko, Elf J Trul, Luis Ponce, RhymezlikeDimez, Sasha Stiles, Slimesunday, Cory Van Lew, Goldcat, Zancan and more. The selection will offer digital art for collectors at all price points, with estimates ranging from 4 to 100 ETH. Bidding is open on Christie’s 3.0 from November 30 to December 7.

The top lot in the sale is a constantly evolving virtual sculpture, titled Mother Flock, from the Life in Our Minds collection, a collaborative project between art collective Random International, which was founded in 2005 by Hannes Koch and Florian Ortkrass, and Danil Krivoruchko, an award-winning multidisciplinary digital artist and creative director. Life in Our Minds: Mother Flock is a generative interactive work that allows viewers to physically manipulate a flock of thousands of swarming pieces of bird-like origami. The project is co-produced by Pace Verso, the web3 hub of Pace Gallery, and Snark.art’s OG.Art NFT platform.

Nicole Sales Giles, Christie’s Director of Digital Art Sales, remarks, “Building on the momentum of our highly successful inaugural sale, Christie’s Digital Art team is absolutely thrilled to bring to life the first various-owner sale of Christie’s 3.0. We are beyond proud to be leaders in the Web3 community and are humbled to have the ability and privilege to amplify these important artistic voices in the contemporary art landscape.”

The works will be on view from November 29 – December 3 at The Gateway 2022, a Web3 Metropolis presented by NFT Now and Christie’s during Miami Art Week, with additional programming to be announced.
