Hong Kong – On 26 November Christie’s Important Watches auction totalled HK$102,396,250/ US$13,143,186 with strong sell-through rate of 84% by lot and 83% by value. The saleroom was fueled by deep bidding from 27 countries across 5 continents via all sale channels.
Top lots of the sale realizing the same price of HK$2,980,000/ US$382,501 were A. LANGE & SÖHNE, A PLATINUM LIMITED EDITION, SPLIT SECONDS CHRONOGRAPH TOURBILLON WRISTWATCH WITH, POWER RESERVE INDICATION AND CHAIN FUSÉE, TOURBOGRAPH POUR LE MÉRITE MODEL, NO. 19/51, CIRCA 2008 (shown top left), PATEK PHILIPPE, A PLATINUM MINUTE REPEATING AUTOMATIC WRISTWATCH WITH ENAMEL DIAL, MADE TO CELEBRATE THE 150TH ANNIVERSARY OF PATEK PHILIPPE, REF. 3979, CIRCA 1994 (shown top middle), as well as GREUBEL FORSEY, AN 18K PINK GOLD LIMITED EDITION ASYMMETRICAL WRISTWATCH WITH QUADRUPLE TOURBILLON AND POWER RESERVE, INVENTION PIECE 2 MODEL, NO. 02/11, CIRCA 2011 (shown top right).
Seven RM011 Felipe Massa wristwatches, each numbered 00, attracted strong global bidding and were sold exceeding their low estimates.
