Vince Camuto: Designer and Collector Totals $1,493,875

New York – Vince Camuto: Designer and Collector totaled $1,493,975 / £1,059,486 / €1,233,242 and was 100% sold by value and 77% sold by lot.

Brian Evans, Head of Sale, commented “Chateau Ridge represents the culmination of two masterful artistic visionaries, Vince Camuto and Anthony Ingrao, who together crafted a resplendent European chateau in the Connecticut countryside.  Each room contributed to a cohesive visual narrative and environment, reflecting a deep interest in European art and design throughout the ages.  The online sale hosted bidders from 24 countries, each competing for a part of this uniquely singular collection, with notable prices for textiles with the Beauvais tapestry more than doubling the low estimate to achieve $52,500 and the important Louis XIV Savonnerie carpet achieving $400,000 against its $50,000 estimate.  Other notable prices were seen from the dining room, including the assembled St. Louis stemware service which achieved twenty times its low estimate realizing $100,000 and the eight Louis XV dining chairs achieving $52,500 against the $5,000 low estimate.”
