RESULTS : Fine And Rare Wines Hong Kong

Please click HERE for the results of Fine and Rare Wines: Melina & NK Yong’s Cellar/ Fine and Rare Wines: Esteemed Connoisseur Mr Yap Chee Meng’s Private Collection Part II, which was held on 8 & 9 September 2017 and realized HK$26,334,928/ US$ 3,386,066.

 

The 2-day sale was sold 95% by value.

 

Highlights of the sale which are rare in the market include 12 bottles of Domaine Leflaive, Chevalier-Montrachet 2001, achieving HK$55,125/ US$7,093, and 16 half bottles of Château d'Yquem 1999, which was sold for HK$12,250/ US$1,576.

 

Simon Tam, Head of Wine, Christie’s Asia, commented “We witnessed avid bidding from both international and local clients on the exceptional wines from the Melina & NK Yong’s Cellar and Mr Yap Chee Meng’s private collections. The diverse offering of wine contained many of the most fabled producers, and we have seen a clear resurgence of strong interest in collectible Bordeaux from recent vintages. With its exceptional provenance and discerning selection, the sale was able to once again excite collectors from around the world for another season.”
