Chris Munro, Head of London Wine Department commented: “Wines from Domaine de la Romanée-Conti took the top three lots in this sale featuring the very best of Burgundy. Elsewhere we witnessed buyers competing for rarely seen wines from other Domaines including Clau Daü and Dujac. Six bottles of Musigny 1969 from Clau Daü smashed through its pre-sale estimate of £1,200-1,800 finally hammering down at £6,000.  There was also solid interest for Bordeaux across the classifications as we continue to witness a pick-up in demand for wines from this region. In a first for wine sales in London, we were running two auctions simultaneously, selling in the live saleroom at King Street and via our online platform Signature Cellars, offering buyers the opportunity to bid through both the traditional route and the one-click world of our online auction.  Our current online wine sale closes on the 13th November.”
