““We were delighted to witness a packed sale room and enthusiastic
bidding for spectacular wines, with extremely strong results from Part III
of an Esteemed Private Connoisseur’s Collection and Part II of the Peter
Chu Collection. Buyers showed continued appetite for the world’s top
wines in particular Burgundy from Romanée-Conti, Henri Jayer, Comtes
Lafon and Domaine Leflaive sold particularly well. This was a very
exciting opening to the year for both Christie’s and the wine department
and we look forward to our next major sale in May”
