Hong Kong – Christie’s is delighted to announce its Fine and Rare Wines auctions, presenting an impressive array of wines direct from the Cellars of the Historic Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé on 25th May, and from Masseto and a Collection of Château Lafleur and other Guinaudeau Family Estate Wines on 26th May respectively.
Direct from the cellars of the legendary fine wine producer Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé, this auction will feature 274 lots of rare Burgundies with total low estimates of HK$12 million, from the Domaine's grand cru vineyards of Musigny, Bonnes-Mares and the iconic premier cru of Chambolle-Musigny les Amoureuses. The bottles and magnums selected are in impeccable condition, with new numbered front labels and personalised back labels.
The auction on the 2nd day will present 730 lots of wines with total low estimates of HK$18 million, including vintages 2015 from Masseto which are rarely seen in the market and will go on developing over decades to come. The sale will also feature a stock of Lafleur and Pensées in pristine condition from the notable Château Lafleur, in addition to other exceptional wines which are all tended and produced by the dedicated Lafleur team.
Simon Tam, Head of Wine Asia, commented “The sale featuring wines from Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé will undoubtedly be one of the most memorable wine auctions in Christie’s long history. Alongside the Bordeaux from Château Lafleur and the Guinaudeau family, these 2 auctions will provide a precious opportunity for global wine connoisseurs and collectors to acquire some of the greatest winous treasures in history.”
