London EMEA 13 August 2021

An Exhibition for Fine Arts Graduates in London

Open Call for Talented Curator to Lead the Exhibition

LONDON – Christie’s announces Next at Christie’s: London 2022, a physical and virtual non-commercial exhibition of work by the next generation of artists. The public exhibition, which will take place over two weeks in January 2022 at Christie’s London Headquarters, presents an exciting opportunity to an up-and-coming curator and emerging artists looking to jumpstart their careers in the art world. A curator will first be selected via open call, and will need to be innovative, creative, and open-minded. Applicants must either be currently studying or have graduated within the last five years, and should be based in or have ready access to London. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds, and are looking for candidates who represent ‘new’ talent. Christie’s will give the winning curator or curatorial team the necessary guidance and resources to organise the exhibition. Additionally, Christie’s Education will sponsor a parallel programme of courses on cutting edge contemporary art and the art of curation.

Dirk Boll, Christie’s President, EMEA: “In support of the thriving art ecosystem, Christie’s is delighted to present Next at Christie’s: London 2022, to provide a platform to a diverse group of young curators and artists. The call for curators is open and we look forward to working closely with the successful applicant to present this exciting public exhibition, showcasing the talents of the next generation of artists.”

Applications for the curator role will be open until 3 September, and news regarding the curator appointment and selection process for artists will be announced in the coming weeks.
