Together the two auctions demonstrated spirited global interest from all aspects of the art market with competitive bidding online, via the phones and in the room, resulting in outstanding overall sell-through rates of 96% by lot and 100% by value with a combined total of £29,505,150 / $37,611,983 / €33,704,404. ‘The Leslie Waddington Collection Parts I and II’ were a fitting tribute to Leslie Waddington whose pioneering spirit as an art dealer is noted for having defined the London art landscape before the rise in popularity of the contemporary art world today.
