FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: 21 APRIL 2015

FINE AND RARE WINES INCLUDING THREE EXCEPTIONAL PRIVATE COLLECTIONS

London On 30 April 2015 Christie’s will hold the Fine and Rare Wine sale, presenting a superb opportunity to acquire some of the finest wines from across the globe. The sale is led by property from three exceptional private collections including an excellent range of Bordeaux and a continental collection recently removed from a classic Belgium restaurant. The final collection presents an exquisite European offering of mature Burgundies from the region’s greatest sites, encompassing Marquis d’Angerville, from Leroy (both négociant and Domaine), Domaine de Montille, DRC, Rousseau, Grivot and white and red from Bonneau du Martray. Of particular note is the outstanding selection of wines from Louis Jadot, one of the broadest and deepest Jadot ranges to been seen at auction in recent years. Also presented are clarets dating back to 1964, including leading wines from the 1970s and 1989s, alongside bottles of Hermitage La Chapelle, Chave and Ch. De Beaucastel. The sale consists of 730 lots and is a rare occasion to collect little-seen, famous bottlings in a variety of sizes and price points.
