Hong Kong – Christie’s is honoured to have been entrusted with the sale of “Iconic Wines from Joseph Lau”, which will be offered at a live auction on 13 April, at Christie’s Hong Kong’s Alexandra House saleroom. Comprising 89 lots with an estimated total value exceeding HK$24 million/ US$3 million, the sale will offer a precious opportunity for connoisseurs to acquire the finest bottles from the esteemed entrepreneur and distinguished wine collector.
The celebrated collection features a rare offering of DRC Romanée-Conti from 1989 to 2005 in large formats, a group of fantastic vintages of Vosne-Romanée Cros-Parantoux by Henri Jayer from 1986 to 1999 in magnum, alongside an impressive selection of Bordeaux First Growth vintages produced between 1982 and 2003, from legendary estates including Lafite Rothschild, Mouton Rothschild, Latour, as well as Lafleur, Pétrus, and Cheval Blanc.
Following the sale of “Iconic Wines from Joseph Lau”, the live auction will also present around 500 lots of exquisite wines from various owners, including the most sought after bottles from Bordeaux, Burgundy, Champagne, Italy, Spain and the U.S. Highlights include multiple vintages of Rousseau Chambertin, d'Auvenay Bonnes-Mares, Leflaive Montrachet, Salon, Sassacaia, Pingus, Alvaro Palacios L'Ermita and Screaming Eagle.
