Singapore – Christie’s is thrilled to share a superb and diverse array of masterpieces and exquisite luxury items worth over US$156M/HK$1.2B that will be displayed in an unprecedented, global autumn auction highlights preview in Singapore this month. The exhibition will feature an expansive selection from Christie’s upcoming sales in Hong Kong, Geneva, and New York. Through this event, Christie’s responds to the burgeoning demand from Southeast Asia buyers in its salerooms around the world and aims to nurture their wide-ranging and increasingly sophisticated tastes.
Leading the preview from Christie’s Hong Kong Autumn Auctions will be the phenomenal Shen the T. rex, the first T. rex skeleton ever to be offered at auction in Asia (please click here for the dedicated press release). Also on display from Christie’s Hong Kong will be an array of masterpieces by celebrated Asian and Western artists from the 20th and 21st Century, including Yoshitomo Nara, Cheong Soo Pieng, Mai Trung Thu, Pierre-Auguste Renoir and Marc Chagall; stunning Chinese Paintings by Wu Guanzhong, Xu Beihong, and Lin Fengmian; and a superb selection from across Christie’s Luxury categories – including jewellery, watches and handbags. Rounding off the preview will be jewellery highlights from Geneva, including The Fortune Pink, an 18.18 carat fancy vivid pink diamond.
