25 NOVEMBER – ICONIC WINES FROM JOSEPH LAU PART II
Following the white-glove sale of “Iconic Wines from Joseph Lau” this April, Christie’s is delighted to present Part II of Mr. Lau’s treasured collection, comprising 106 lots of finest bottles from Henri Jayer – mostly acquired from Christie’s "The Private Cellar of Henri Jayer" auction in 2012, such as Cros Parantoux available in multiple vintages from 1990s to 2001; Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, which is best represented by Romanée-Conti from 1990s, and Montrachet from 9 vintages between 1988 and 2003.
The sale also offers the best Bordeaux vintages between 1980s and 2000s by legendary estates, such as Lafite, Latour, Margaux and Mouton, as well as Le Pin, Pétrus, and Cheval Blanc.
To commemorate this auction, each bottle of wine from this sale will have a specially designed sticker on the back of the bottle.
25 NOVEMBER – FINEST AND RAREST WINES & SPIRITS
Not to be missed on 25 November is the live auction of fine wines and rare whiskies from various esteemed owners’ collections, encompassing some of the best Bordeaux from a passionate collector, presented in original wooden cases to ensure top provenance and condition; bottles from blue-chip Burgundy and Champagne producers – including DRC, Henri Jayer, Dom Perignon and Krug, amassed by another discerning collector.
Other vinous treasures include a selection from Leroy and d’Auvenay; top-tier Burgundy such as Rousseau, Coche-Dury; great Rhones like Jaboulet, Beaucastel, Chapoutier; iconic Italian wines such as Masseto, Gaja, Quintarelli; enticing bottles from Spain and Australia, as well as an array of Port and Madeira wines.
Rounding out the sale is a selection of the finest and rarest Japanese whiskies, from the same collector of the single-owner whisky auction “INCOCHI NO MIZU” this September. Highlights include the most sought-after and collectable Hanyu Ichiro’s Malt Card Series, including the rarest of the rare, 10 of Spades and a few first editions. In addition to the Card Series, a Hibiki 30 Year Old and a set of Karuizawa Thousand Arrows are on offer.
25 NOVEMBER – 6 DECEMBER:
AN IMMACULATE EUROPEAN CONNOISSEUR’S COLLECTION PART II: ONLINE
After a very successful part one auction in October last year, we are very happy to offer part two of this immaculate collection from a European cellar.
A stellar parcel of Bordeaux leads the sale, featuring Carruades de Lafite, Lafleur, Le Pin, and Petrus. Burgundy is represented by top names like DRC, Henri Jayer, Leroy, Leflaive, Coche-Dury; as well as a superb selection of Château Rayas from the Rhone.
25 NOVEMBER – 6 DECEMBER:
THE CELLAR OF A METICULOUS WINE LOVER: ONLINE
With a passion to learn and taste the very finest wine the world has to offer, what makes the owner of this wonderful collection exceptional is their meticulous nature and approach. One key example of this is their purchasing notes on nearly all of their cellar, while another is their fastidious sourcing, with all younger wines purchased on release, from the most reputed British and Hong Kong merchants, as well as from only the most notable auctions with exceptional provenance.
Highlights from this cellar include great names from the Côte Nuits such as Domaine de la Romanée Conti, Roumier, Dujac, alongside top notch Bordeaux and fine bottles from Australia.
