Christie’s will anchor the 6th-9th floors of the building, offering a one-stop-hub for art and luxury collectors and enthusiasts.

Asia Pacific – In September 2024, Christie’s will open the doors to its new Asia Pacific headquarters at The Henderson, the highly anticipated state-of-the-art new building in Central Hong Kong, designed by Zaha Hadid Architects. Welcoming collectors and audiences from around the globe, Christie’s will inaugurate its world-class space with a three-month programme of art and luxury auctions, innovative exhibitions, and special events from September to November 2024 – marking the start of a dynamic new year-round sales and events calendar in Asia. Further details will be announced in the coming months.

In response to growing global market demand from the region, Christie’s announced its plan to relocate its Asia Pacific headquarters to The Henderson in 2021, affirming the business’ leadership in Asia and commitment to the region. Based at this striking new urban landmark, primely located in the heart of Hong Kong’s Central Business District, Christie’s will be ideally placed to connect and better serve the rapidly growing number of Asian collectors through its unrivalled global network of salerooms and specialists.

With 50,000 square feet, anchoring four full floors of the building that will house a saleroom, galleries, dedicated client spaces, and offices, Christie’s new Asia Pacific home will be a one-stop hub for collecting, poised to deliver an unparalleled client experience.

The signature state-of-the-art galleries are innovatively designed to be easily transformed for any event, including museum-quality exhibitions, exclusive client engagements, private sales, and educational programmes. Featuring high ceilings and a pillarless floorplan, the new space has the flexibility to spectacularly display a diverse range of art and luxury objects.

The building’s sophisticated, high-tech, sustainable design supports Christie’s global commitment to conduct business responsibly for the environment. The Henderson has been pre-certified for numerous green and healthy building awards, promising to positively impact and transform many areas across Christie’s business.

Christie’s will present its final season of bi-annual sales at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre in late May 2024, before making the move to The Henderson this September, and beginning for the first time a long-awaited year-round programme of auctions and events.
