Jeremy Morrison, Senior Director, 20/21 Design, Christie’s London:

"We are very pleased with the strong results achieved by the 20/21 Design evening auction, which witnessed tremendous highlights as it was led by the 100% success rate for the Yoichi Ohira glass collection, which totaled over £611,750 and set a new world record for the artist’s work. The huge interest in Ohira’s work was mirrored by the success of the Brazilian section which was also 100% sold, setting a world record price at auction for Joaquim Tenreiro’s amazing low table of 1955.   This sale was the culmination of a week of auctions of 20/21 Design, which started in South Kensington with an auction and an online sale of Lalique, and which realized a combined total of over £5.7m”.
